Bohol Escapade: Punta Cruz Watch Tower

The Watch tower at Punta Cruz is famous not for its height or location.. but for its shape. If I’m not mistaken, Its the only watch tower in Bohol that was built in a triangular shape.

Punta Cruz watchtower was erected in the year 1796 by the Spaniards and was dedicated to SaintVincent Ferrer, Maribojoc’s patron saint.

Bohol Escapade: Clarin Ancestral House

You’ll find quite a number of old – no, verrrry old – structures in Bohol. And its so surprising that most of them have been preserved for the future generations. Like the Clarin Ancestral House in Loay.

This ancestral house was owned by Don Aniceto Velez Clarin, a former  governor of Bohol. The house has been converted into a museum with the family’s collection of antiques and is maintained by his descendants.

Balwarte: Pier in front of Baclayon Church

There’s a pier in front of Baclayon Church which became popular after actor Cesar Montano proposed to his wife, actres Sunshine Cruz with the Loboc Children’s choir playing in the background.

Puerto Princessa Baywalk

It seems that there’s a “Baywalk” everywhere  I got.. And is true here in Puerto Princessa.

Although Puerto Princessa’s Baywalk is still under construction, you’ll still be able to see its beauty. It’s a long stretch which took me 20 minutes to walk from end to end.
