Not far from Balut Island is another great place to visit near Panglao Island in Bohol. An oddly shaped island called Virgin Island. I’m not sure if the shape has something to do with its name.

Depending on how fast you go from one place to another is the chance for you to got to Balut Island and Virgin Island. So I suggest you don’t stay too long at Balicasag Island to go diving or snorkeling or else, you’ll miss this…
Pure white sand in the middle of the sea. It’s like a vanishing island as it only appears during a certain time of the day and submerges in the Bohol sea when the high tide comes in.

It wasn’t part of the itinerary but our Boatman offered if we wanted to see a “Pawikan” (turtle). And of course I said yes! And so he took as to this small “kubo” (hut) in the middle of the vast waters of Bohol.
The first thing I said was, were is the Pawikan? Then the boatman asked the owner of the pawikan to show it to us.

Dolphin watching is part of the Balicasag Island – Dolphin watching package. Price for this ranges from P2,000 – P2,500. But depending on the dates, you can even get lower rates (like off-peak seasons).

Its a must that you wake up early.. around 5:00 am and leave Panglao Island not later than 6:00 am to be first to watch the dolphins.
