Baguio: Burnham Park

Burnham Park is only one of several parks that can be found in Baguio City. But among them, Burnham is the most popular.

Burnham Park was named after the city’s architect, Daniel Burnham.

After a 6 hour ride from Manila, we finally arrived in Baguio.

We didn’t book for a hotel. We didn’t expect that there will be a lot of events in Baguio coz Panagbenga is still in February. All the cheap hotels and inns near Burnham and Session Road was fully booked. Good thing City Travel Hotel still had a spare room even though it was a venue for a wedding the next day.

After we checked-in, we went to SM Baguio to have late lunch.

Although they are quite expensive, I’m sure those with sufficient budget will find this a good place to stay. Oh, this place is Blogger Friendly.. they have Free Wi-Fi.

Baguio: Where to stay?

There are a lot of places where you can stay in Baguio City. All you need to do is find the right one that will suit your needs and your BUDGET.

There are the Hotels, Inns, Pension Houses, condominiums, apartments, and Transients.

For new travelers, transients may be a new word. Its like a boarding house where you will only get a private room but share the kitchen and living room with other people. Its cheaper and more economical specially for visitors who will just use it for sleeping and to put their things in a place.

Baguio: Getting there

Baguio City is part of Benguet Mountain Province. Its a 4-6 hour ride from Manila.

There are only 2 ways for you to be able to get there – either by Land or Air. But the most popular and usual way of going to Baguio is to travel by land, either by Bus or Private vehicle. If you are going there as a group (friends or family), I highly suggest that you just rent a van. If you decide to take a bus, then take the Victory Bus Liner. Although there are other bus companies which can get you in Baguio, Victory is the known and most trusted bus company to get you to your destination.
