Bohol Escapade: Clarin Ancestral House

You’ll find quite a number of old – no, verrrry old – structures in Bohol. And its so surprising that most of them have been preserved for the future generations. Like the Clarin Ancestral House in Loay.

This ancestral house was owned by Don Aniceto Velez Clarin, a former  governor of Bohol. The house has been converted into a museum with the family’s collection of antiques and is maintained by his descendants.

Bohol Escapade: Loboc Bridge

There’s an unfinished bridge in the town of Loboc that has been turned into a tourist spot. The Alfonso L. Uy Promenade or more popularly known as Loboc Bridge.

According to the locals, this bridge was built not to be able to connect the two sides of the river but because of a hidden treasure.

Another magnificent stone church in Bohol is the Loboc Church.

It is near the Loboc Bridge and was once threatened to be demolished for the hidden treasures underneath it. It is also home to the Loboc Childrens Choir.
